IDS today announced that VM Online is now officially live to manage and perform all municipal valuations for the City of Adelaide. This represents an important milestone for IDS, as it is the first VM Online site deployed outside of Victoria and comes less than 12 months after IDS acquired the VM Online business from Thomson Reuters.
By adopting the platform, City of Adelaide will reap the same efficiency and quality benefits that VM Online users in Victoria have enjoyed for more than a decade.
VM Online is the de facto standard for statutory valuations in Victoria, where it is currently used by the Victorian Valuer-General, local government authorities and municipal valuation firms to perform valuations for 64 of the 79 local government authorities in the State. Under a new multi-year contract with the Valuer General that commenced in July 2019, VM Online will be used to value every property in Victoria, every year.
The VM Online system enables continuity and data sovereignty, while performing critical mass valuation functions in accordance with best practice and for best value.
